My work as a biomechanics coach and massage therapist is all about helping people with their problems.
And I get people coming in every day telling me how their issue is holding them back, how it's ruining their life.
And so that's all they can think about. That's all they see.
They focus so much on how to get rid of their problems, googling cures and quick fixes that they can't focus on anything else but the pain that they are experiencing (whether physical or emotional)
If that's you, if your life is spent trying to find ways to get rid of the pain, a change of perspective is needed.
You need to stop looking at yourself as a series of problems.
Because for every 1 thing that's going wrong in your body there are a thousand things going right.
And focusing on the negative is only going to create more stress.
More stress = more cortisol.
More cortisol = more health problems.
You are not weak.
You are not a wreck.
You don't need shooting or putting down.
You are not a lost case.
YOU ARE NOT F#%KED!!
You simply have an obstacle.
Let's start thinking about how you can get around that obstacle. See it as an opportunity to learn about your body, and to become better than before.
But right now, open your eyes to all the things that are going right, all the things you are able to do.
Because they are there if you just pay attention. And you might just be surprised of how amazing your life can be when you focus on what you CAN do rather than what you can't.
