Some days I spend a lot of time at my computer, which means that at some point my head is going to feel like it's exploding and I can't think straight.
Which is why I try and get out for a few minutes walk every so often.
Research shows that just one 10-minute burst of physical activity is enough to sharpen attention and help us solve problems. And in fact, in a recent study, immediately after 10 minutes of exercise participants showed a 14% improvement in their cognitive performance.
So when you're struggling to think…go out for 10 minutes to clear your mind.
Because even a short duration, even once, can give us immediate benefits.
And if you have an exam, interview or anything that is cognitively demanding…I highly recommend you use your legs before you use your head!
