A client came in to see me yesterday regarding issues with tightness in her back especially when she runs.
One of the things we test in Biomechanics is the core. We found that this particular client's core was not actually being activated at all.
So after working through normalising her pelvis with just a couple of exercises we retested her core....NOW it was activating.
So again, if you have been told that you have a weak core be sure that it is a true weakness and that it's not just being inhibited by other dysfunctions.
Core activating = more stability = less pain.
It's not always about more strength. It's about figuring out what the hell is going on!
