A client who came to see me actually struggled to sit down on the couch due to sciatic pain within his back and legs.
After a couple of weeks he walked back in and I asked him how he's getting on. He told me that all was ok but that he was still having pain. I asked him how bad. He replied that it came on when he put his socks on. That was it. No other time.
I reminded him of his first visit to me and he was shocked. He had completely forgot just how bad the pain was. Yes he still had issues but he'd improved tremendously.
I recently bumped into him again. It's been a while since I stopped working with him. And he was telling me how he's now in to racing mountain bikes at the weekend and literally does not stop.
To see the difference from the first time I met him really made my day. What. A. Difference!
Sometimes we just need reminding of how we were before to actually appreciate just how far we have come.
