Chloe suffers with chronic midback pain. And as a consequence she takes painkillers all day every day and has done so for the last 3 years. She has even started taking one in the evening to enable her to sleep.
We found that her pec minor (a muscle in the front of her chest) was in spasm and as a consequence had shortened. It had got so bad that she was unable to pull her shoulders back to stand up straight (something her husband kept telling her to do!).
After releasing her pec minor (and continuing with her homework) she was able to go to sleep without using any painkillers. She is also coming off the ones in the day as she simply doesn't need them anymore.
Once again it is a case of stop chasing pain. Seriously, where the pain is the cause is not.
