Polly, aged 31 is a dance teacher. And when she isn't teaching she loves to dance herself. She came to me complaining of a constant ache in her upper back at the inner edge of her left shoulder blade. It felt good to reach over her shoulder and massage the place with her fingertips. She had even started using a tennis ball as a friend of hers recommended. But although it felt good initially it never stopped the pain. In fact it's been a constant ache for several years now.
After 3 sessions we had worked through normalising her pelvis and her spine with exercises that she was asked to do at home. We then worked on developing her core strength to 'glue' the pelvis and spine in to place. What we also found was that she had given her tennis ball to her dog as she no longer needed it. The constant dull ache was gone.
Have I ever told you just how much I love my job?!?
